MARRIOTT CHICAGO NORTHWEST – HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL

 

The Marriott Chicago Northwest, located in the heart of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, was established in 2002 as a full-service Marriott hotel. Situated within the expansive Prairie Stone Business Park, the hotel was strategically positioned to cater to the growing demand for high-quality accommodations in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The Prairie Stone Business Park itself had been developed in the early 1990s, with significant investments from major corporations, including the relocation of Sears, Roebuck and Company’s headquarters to the area. This development spurred further growth, attracting numerous businesses and visitors to the region.Designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers, the Marriott Chicago Northwest featured 295 guest rooms and nearly 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Its proximity to major highways, including Interstate 90, and local attractions made it a convenient choice for visitors to the area.

 

Time for an Update

Under the stewardship of The Ghoman Group, the Marriott Chicago Northwest has continued to evolve and elevate the guest experience. In 2025, the hotel underwent a complete renovation, including all guest rooms and ballrooms, ensuring a modern, stylish, and comfortable environment for both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, the property added a full-service Starbucks® in the lobby and a Bar Louie restaurant, providing guests and the local community with convenient dining and social options. Today, the Marriott Chicago Northwest stands as a fully revitalized, premier destination in Hoffman Estates, combining luxury, comfort, and exceptional hospitality under one roof.

THAT’S A TASTY UPGRADE

The transformation from River City Grill to Bar Louie represented more than a name change — it marked the start of a new era of dining at the hotel. The updated space features a contemporary, urban-inspired design with comfortable seating, open sightlines, and an inviting bar area that becomes the heart of the experience. Guests enjoy a diverse menu featuring classic American fare with a creative twist, from signature burgers and shareable appetizers to handcrafted cocktails and local craft beers.
