The Ghoman Group, in partnership with its investment partners, continues to expand its hospitality portfolio with the acquisition and ongoing redevelopment of two premier Marriott-branded hotels in Carmel, Indiana—the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel and the Residence Inn by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel.

Located in one of Indiana’s most vibrant business and residential communities, the dual-branded properties represent another strategic investment in The Ghoman Group’s long-term commitment to developing and operating exceptional hospitality destinations throughout the Midwest.

Following the acquisition, the ownership team immediately began planning an extensive renovation program designed to modernize the hotels while enhancing the overall guest experience. Renovations are now underway at the SpringHill Suites, the first phase of a comprehensive property improvement initiative that will ultimately extend across both hotels.

The renovation program includes refreshed guest rooms and suites, updated public spaces, modern finishes, enhanced amenities, and improvements designed to meet the evolving expectations of today’s business and leisure travelers. The goal is to deliver an elevated guest experience while maintaining the trusted comfort and quality synonymous with the Marriott brand.

“We view every acquisition as an opportunity to create long-term value,” said Amarbir (Alex) Ghoman, Principal of The Ghoman Group. “These renovations represent more than aesthetic improvements—they’re an investment in our guests, our associates, and the communities we serve. We are committed to ensuring these hotels remain among the premier lodging destinations in the Carmel market.”

The SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn occupy a strategic location just north of Indianapolis, providing convenient access to downtown Carmel, the city’s thriving corporate campuses, award-winning dining, shopping, and entertainment districts, as well as major regional attractions. The properties serve a diverse mix of corporate travelers, extended-stay guests, families, sports teams, and visitors attending events throughout Hamilton County and the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area.

The renovation of the SpringHill Suites marks the beginning of a carefully planned transformation that will be followed by improvements at the neighboring Residence Inn. Once completed, both hotels will reflect The Ghoman Group’s commitment to thoughtful design, operational excellence, and exceptional guest service while preserving the distinct character and brand standards that Marriott guests have come to expect.

“Our philosophy is simple,” added Harsharan (Harry) Ghoman, Principal of The Ghoman Group. “We invest in quality assets, continually reinvest in those properties, and focus on creating places where guests feel welcomed and associates are proud to work. Carmel is an outstanding community, and we’re excited to continue investing in its future.”

The acquisition further strengthens The Ghoman Group’s growing hospitality portfolio, which includes a diverse collection of Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG branded hotels throughout the Midwest. Through strategic acquisitions, ground-up development, adaptive reuse projects, and comprehensive renovations, the company continues to build destinations that generate economic growth, create employment opportunities, and deliver lasting value to both guests and the communities they serve.

As renovation work progresses, both hotels remain open and continue welcoming guests. The phased approach has been carefully planned to minimize disruptions while ensuring visitors continue to enjoy the exceptional service and hospitality for which Marriott is recognized around the world.
