MOXY DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA (CAP CENTER)

READY FOR ANYTHING

Exciting developments are underway in downtown Indianapolis with the upcoming transformation of the Capital Center into a Moxy by Marriott hotel. This $25 million project, spearheaded by local developers KennMar LLC and The Ghoman Group, aims to convert the top seven floors of the south tower at the intersection of Illinois and Ohio Streets into a vibrant, boutique hotel experience.

The planned Moxy hotel will feature approximately 150 rooms, complemented by meeting spaces and a distinctive bar area with an inviting patio. In line with Moxy’s signature style, the hotel will emphasize lively communal areas and modern design elements tailored to appeal to younger travelers seeking a dynamic lodging experience.

Enhancing the property’s amenities, the ground floor will introduce a Bar Louie restaurant and a coffee shop serving Starbucks, offering both guests and locals enticing dining and socializing options. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize the Capital Center, addressing the challenges of high office vacancy rates by introducing a fresh and engaging hospitality venue to the heart of Indianapolis.

The renovation is currently in the design phase, with construction anticipated to commence following city approvals. Developers project the hotel’s opening in the first half of 2026, marking a significant addition to the city’s hospitality landscape and providing a unique lodging option for both visitors and residents.
