VIDYADAAN

Education Without Barriers. Opportunity Without Limits.

About Sardarni Manjit Kaur Ghoman

Sardarni Manjit Kaur Ghoman dedicated more than 22 years of her life to education, serving as a teacher in a Punjab government school and devoting herself to the belief that learning is the foundation of empowerment and dignity.  Alongside her teaching career, she also owned and operated a private school and played an active role in supporting her husband in their professional and entrepreneurial endeavors. Balancing her responsibilities at home and work with grace and determination, she was known as a woman of strength, discipline, and compassion.  Later in life, Sardarni Manjit Kaur Ghoman migrated to the United States with her sons, Amarbir Singh Ghoman and Harsharan Singh Ghoman, where she continued to support and guide them as they built their business ventures. Despite the move, her heart remained deeply connected to her roots and her lifelong mission of service through education.  She was especially committed to supporting underprivileged girls from her village, often personally covering tuition fees, school expenses, and uniforms to ensure that financial hardship never stood in the way of a child’s education. Her generosity was quiet, consistent, and deeply impactful.

Sardarni Manjit Kaur Ghoman passed away on March 3, 2023, leaving behind a profound legacy of service. Thousands gathered to honor her memory and the social work she championed, including former students and families whose lives she had touched.  To carry forward her vision, VidyaDaan Global Assistance Aid was established by her sons, Amarbir and Harsharan Ghoman, along with their wives, Simrat Ghoman and Lisa Ghoman. The initiative continues her life’s work by expanding access to education for underprivileged children.  The Ghoman family was joined in this mission by a close family friend, Mr. Manjit Gill, Director of GHC Khalsa College, Ludhiana, whose leadership and support played a pivotal role in the formal launch of VidyaDaan. Together, they ensured that Sardarni Manjit Kaur Ghoman’s legacy of empowering girls through education lives on.
